Disclaimer: No you are not hallucinating. No you are not going crazy. I am actually updating my xanga!
so i guess it is time. Time to update my xanga for the ENTIRE SUMMER!!! This will be long i am thinking (If i can remember everything).
I didn't make drum major. :, ( I don't see what a stupid essay has to do with what kind of drum major you're going to be!! >: ( anyway, i'm over it now and i think it's better this way because the freshmen saxes need me. Badly.
AP scores: English Language and Comp. 4 United States History 3 Chemistry I SUCK!!! 1 US Government (last year) 4 Overall AP average 3
i hope i do better this year!
June
Oh June. School is over and i had some time to myself. Boring. Then the great part of my summer started! Me and my parents were going to go to Australia to see my sister who had been studying abroad there all semester. I was at the Kansas City airport walking around and i look around and i see Helen and Marie and Elizabeth!!! Southside's band was coming back from their Hawaii trip on the same day we were leaving for Australia!! How awesome is that?!?!?!?! I saw almost all of my band friends there. I didn't get to see Kendra, though. Australia was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! We stayed in Sydney and saw like everything to see there. We took a tour of the Opera House, which is as amazing on the inside as it is on the outside, we swam in the Great Barrier Reef and saw some coral and some fishies (and i almost choked myself from swallowing sea water through my snorkel) and we walked through the city and the harbor at night and it was just tons of fun!!!! Will someone please give me an address so i can send stuff to you guys in the Fort? I still have like Christmas and birthday presents here! ANYWAY, When i got back from Australia, we got ready for our band trip to Washington D.C.!!!!
July
So the freshmen here don't march in junior high, so we had to teach them how to march in like 2 weeks before we marched in a nationally televised parade. So my freshmen aren't that bad, but even with the 3 more weeks of practice we've had, they still need some work. Any ideas? anyway, so we finally go on our trip to D.C. THE WORST BAND TRIP IN THE HISTORY OF BAND TRIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So first of all, D.C. like completely flooded the week before we went and a lot of stuff was closed when we were there, second, it was still raining up a storm while we were there, third, it took 25 hours to get there and 25 more to get back. I am just not meant to be on a bus with some people for 50 hours! I was ready to kill almost everyone on that bus by the time we got home! But there were some good parts. The 4th of July fireworks at the Capitol were amazing (I find i use that word a lot)!! Umm... we went to the Hard Rock Cafe, we got a tour of the Capitol and it was great because it was the opposite side from what i saw at NYLF, so that was cool that now i've seen the whole thing, and we went to the memorials which are always cool, and we went to the White House which was kind of a let down. You expect it to be this like impressive amazing place, but it's just like a big, white...house, which kind of makes sense, but it wasn't what i expected.
When we got back from D.C., it was a little relaxing time before All-State Show Choir.
So All-State Show Choir was in July when TBC was and i couldn't go to both and i had paid for it already so i went to it. It was a lot of fun. A bunch of music people learning 3 songs and dances in 2 days. Lots of fun! the dances were so exhausting and fun and cool all at the same time. (See? i avoided saying amazing!)
So 3 weeks ago pre-Band began. OH MY GOD!!!!!!! Band geeks are not meant to spend 5 hours with each other for that long! So right now one of my best friends and i are not speaking to each other because she didn't want me "treating her like a freshman." Is asking someone to listen to their senior section leader, not to mention a guy basically like a brother, or going out to practice treating her like a freshman?!?!?!?!?!?! if so i am sorry. So other than that, it has been boring, repetative, annoying, tiring, and stressful. Everything it should be. : I
So since then, i've just been waiting on school to start. School is actually going to be fun!
Schedule:
1st Band (of course) 2nd Physics 3rd Spanish 3 4th Business Management (I need it to graduate) 5th AP Calculus 6th English IV 7th Concert Choir
So activities are going to be good this year because the class under us is amazing everything (curse them(rerally just because i am supposed to be with them)!!!) and the seniors (OMG We're seniors!!!!!!!!!!) in these things are the dedicated ones who actually work!
yea i couldn't sleep so i did more. More to come!
| Yea, so i know i haven't been updating, but i PROMISE i will be better about it.
So i don't think AP tests have been going that well. I think i may have done ok on the English until i got to the essays which TOTALLY KICKED MY BUTT!!! What do i care how this person uses rhetorical devices to strengthen the passage?!!?! ANYWAY, the History was pretty bad because the class here in no way prepared me adequately, but luckily i have the best friend in the universe that let me have his notes from last year (THANK YOU SO MUCH JOHN!!!!!!!!) so i think i might have done ok on it. The chemistry is seriously going to rape me tomorrow, though. This class is like Pre-AP that i took last year and i am so not ready for the test. I hope i get at least a 3. I will be so sad if i get a 1 or 2.
Drum major tryouts are going pretty good. I think there's a pretty good chance i can make it (Knock on wood)!
BASEBALL IS OVER!!!!!!!!!! The second worst year of baseball i have ever experienced is now over and i don't think i will be repeating the experience. I think i might run track next year. i do love hurdles!
NOW TIME FOR... GREY'S ANATOMY!!!!!!!!
i found this on the ABC message boards and thought it was funny, but true: Why Derek is a slimeball!!!
1. NEVER tells Meredith he's married/separated etc.. omitting the truth so he can have his fun with no worries or truth. 2. Wife shows up-drops meredith. Gee, what a committed NICE guy? 3. Finds out she slept with George-turns into another victim. Hell, he went back to his wife so what's the deal? Wants her to be on the side or something? 4. Does not like his wife-yet another lie for him to 'fit back into a life he had' 5. Lies about who is calling (when mer. called about the dog) to his wife. Still playing the games. 6. Sees Meredith with the vet-gets jealous (remember, he's committed to his wife now) and becomes an Ahole. 7. He continually uses his looks and charms to get past tricky situations.
Girls-would you really tell one of your friends to date a guy with the list of stuff above?
So i'm basically turning into a Bailey nowadays. Little stupid things are starting to seriously annoy me and i think i'm starting to lose my patience with people, especially when they do stupid things they know are stupid. Going towards my senior year, i think it's that i'm worried about my future because i don't know if i'm gonna get scholarships or, for that matter, what i'm going to major in for undergraduate or even where i'm going (UofA is dropping on my list because they never send me anything. I know it's a stupid reason, but...)!
I think this pretty much wraps up this session. Stay tuned for more. I WILL MAKE MORE! I PROMISE!!!!! This one's from last week cause i can't find the ones from this week.
"A wise man once said you can have anything in life, if you will sacrifice everything else for it. What he meant is nothing comes without a price. So before you go into battle, you better decide how much you're willing to lose. Too often going after what feels good means letting go of what you know is right. And letting someone in means abandoning the walls you've spent a lifetime building. "
"Of course the toughest sacrifices are the ones we don't see coming- When we don't have time to come up with a strategy to pick a side or to measure the potential loss-when that happens. when the battle chooses us and not the other way around-that's when the sacrifice can turn out to be more than we can bear"
I'm pretty much addicted to blogthings!

| So long since icould update. Good news comes to those who wait, though, and do i have some good news for you!
Kevin showed me a site to bypass the firewalls on the school computers, so i can update during school again! YAY!!!
I am officially off punishment as of last weekend!
We did our school musical, FOOTLOOSE, and it was pretty much awesome!!!!!!! I don't know what i'm going to do with all of my free time now, though.
State Music Contest (Solo and Ensemble) is coming up on Friday and my solo and sax trio are going!!!!! We're gonna get 1's!
Twisted my ankle at the baseball game yesterday, but i can still run on it sort of, so that's good.
I GET TO TRY OUT FOR DRUM MAJOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So that's all of the exciting and amazing news i have for right now. I'll try to start updating more regularly
| Yea, so i have to hurry because my parents are out of the house. i got 3 high bs on my 3rd quarter report card and my mom went mental! She took my computer and i am on serious grounding. This is the first chance i've had to do things on the comp because they went to Kansas City and won't be home for a couple of hours. Other than that, we got our butts kicked in baseball on Tuesday. I'm on JV. Hey, at least i get to play. Anyway, Varsity lost by 11 and we lost by 7, so i think we're better! hehe!
UMMMM.....we started a fire in Chemistry yesterday. It was funny. We had a lab and we got to set this gel stuff on fire. So we all thought, let's burn some paper. Before you know it, we had a huge fire on Blake's desk and the fire alarms went off. The other classes had to go outside and everything. i thought it was hilarious.
So besides that and the grounding, life's been pretty much instrument practicing and a lot (TOO MUCH) of my mother. Solo and Ensemble's in 7 days!!!!! AAAARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
KINGDOM HEARTS 2 COMES OUT ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
Check my facebook for some new pictures!!! If you don't have one, GET ONE!!!!!!!!!
"The Chem room, The Chem room, the Chem room's on fire!"
Oh yea, will someone tell Mr. Kesner and Mr. Carrier to send me the Tech Band Camp applications and audition stuff when you guys get it? THANX!!

You are very evil. And you're too evil to care. Those who love you probably also fear you. A lot. |
| Your Quirk Factor: 61% |
You're so quirky, it's hard for you to tell the difference between quirky and normal. No doubt about it, there's little about you that's "normal" or "average." |
| Your Brain's Pattern |
You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy. You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts. People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused. But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination. |
| Your Luck Quotient: 81% |
You have an extremely high luck quotient. Not only do you consider yourself lucky, probably everyone you know does too. But you're smart enough to know that you've mostly made your own luck. By being positive, open, and flexible, a lot of luck has come your way!
| So now i officially hate the internet. It's been down at my house since last week until yesterday and they blocked xanga at school, so i couldn't update.
Last week in a nutshell. I got second place in the Chemistry Olympiad!!!!! YAY!!! we tested to see who gets to go to Math Olympiad and I MADE THAT TOO!!!!! Got a 98 on my pre-cal test, so my grade is now a 90! Foresnsics and Debate SUCKED MONKEY BALLS! Don't wnat to talk about it. State qualifiers are this weekend, so hopefully i do better. Saturday we had a jazz band competition and WE WON!!!! and to cap that week off, Ms. White is leaving! Mrs. Kling is going to be our new band director which basically rocks!!!!! She is so much cooler! And she says i'll most likely get to try out for drum major!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
This week in a nutshell. I'm kind of sick, but nothing i can't handle. There is a Quizbowl conference tourney tomorrow and Thursday is MAth Olympiad and Baseball pictures. Friday is Humorous interp. for state qualifiers and Sat. is state qualifiers for debate, but i'd rather go to the QB tourney on Saturday, but my mom says i have to go because it's for state qualification. SIGH!
Solo and Ensemble is in like 2 weeks and our solos have to be memorized and i'm no where close on my sax or clarinet solo (I'm doing both if you didn't know) and the trio and quartet are going pretty good and Spectrum is also singing for the vocal part. It's gonna be a busy time for me for a while.
I couldn't find the Grey's Anatomy quote, so here's a random fact. "If the empty space between atoms and molecules and stuff was compressed, the earth would be about the size of a baseball"
